Retouching Request for Medical Providers
As a medical provider, you are among the few people who will see and hold these precious babies. Thank you for the care you provide for bereaved families.
Occasionally, a photographer will not be available to take pictures for a family. In order to still provide families with a level of service in the event a photographer cannot be found, we have provided a posing poster that a medical professional can use to preserve memories for the family. This additional NILMDTS Remembrance Photography Guide for Hospitals will aid in submitting images for retouching services. Please use your camera’s largest possible file settings.

Requesting Digital Retouching
If you have already taken photographs of a precious baby, you can send them to NILMDTS to be retouched.
Please read through the following steps to submit your images.
Step One: Consent Form
Scan the Parent Consent form or get it filled out by a parent. You will not be able to submit images without this.
Step Two: Select images
Before sending images, back them up on the cloud (most ideal), your computer, or save the pictures on a disk or memory card for your records.
Please select up to 20 images to have retouched. If possible, please submit images in a high-resolution format.
Step Three: Review our criteria
If there are duplicate or extremely similar poses, we will retouch the best quality one within that grouping.
We may not retouch every image. We select the highest quality images for best results. Out of focus images will be retouched to the best of our ability, however some may not be able to be retouched.
If you only have a printed photograph you can scan them in as high-resolution files and send the high-resolution digital files to us. Retouching results may be limited due to the loss of resolution and quality in the transition from print or film to digital.
Once you have the digital photographs and the completed and signed consent form, please submit the photographs and form via the following form.
Please communicate that it may take 12-18 weeks for processing. Your patient’s image will be delivered to their email address(es) in a secure online gallery.
If they need 1-3 images rushed for an upcoming memorial service or have any questions or issues, please contact us with the baby’s name, and we will do our best to accommodate the request.
If you are a NILMDTS Medical Affiliate submitting a retouching request on behalf of a family you have served, please log in to your NILMDTS Account to submit your retouching request, as this form could modify your contact information.
