November 2019 Volunteer Spotlight
We have received a lot of feedback lately regarding the editing quality of our volunteers. A lot of wonderful feedback sprinkled in with a few less than satisfied parents. NILMDTS photographers, often with the help of our amazing digital retouch artists provide retouched heirloom portraits that remove the trauma of birth. With the feedback, we have started doing some quality checks to help ensure our standard gift is being provided to the families we serve. We have noticed some wonderful photography and wanted to take a moment to appreciate Melanie Morton’s NILMDTS photography.
Melanie has been a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer since January 2014 and has taken 26 sessions as the sole photographer in Beaverlodge, Alberta, Canada. Her work is stunning and the creativity through composites (not at all an expectation of our photographers) and level of care she takes in editing her NILMDTS babies goes beyond honoring that little soul.
From the bottom of all our hearts, from NILMDTS Staff and Volunteer Leadership, we thank you very much for all your efforts in serving your local families Melanie!
If you have a suggestion of a volunteer who should receive a shoutout in our monthly spotlight, please email volunteercoordinators@nilmdts.org.
Hi – if we could be further inspired by getting to see the photographer ‘spot-lighted’ this month, I think that would be great! Any way to do that?
Hi Peggy – The image was there but unfortunately it became a broken link so it only showed a small broken image icon. We’ve fixed that and thanks for your feedback! ~Ali, Volunteer Program Manager
