As the unprecedented and ever-changing response to COVID-19 grips our communities, we want to share with you our commitment to serving families that are experiencing the unimaginable. The need for our services will not diminish during these trying times.
NILMDTS Photographers will ALWAYS be the first option, but finding a volunteer that is available or comfortable accepting a session right now may be more difficult. It’s also possible that medical facilities in your area will not allow visitors or volunteers to enter.
With those limitations in mind and with our continued commitment to serving bereaved families and supporting the medical community that we work so closely with, we are announcing the release of our new Medical Affiliate program and course, effective immediately.
The course is titled Remembrance Photography as a Best Practice in Perinatal Loss Populations. This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
The program has been in the pilot phase for a bit and we anticipated a full launch this spring, but we are bumping that up so that no family has to go without pictures of their precious babies.
Registered Nurses will receive 2.0 contact hours, though the course is open to any medical provider that works in the field of perinatal loss.
