June 2022 Volunteer Spotlight

We have so many amazing volunteers and this month we are excited to shine the light on Sofia Harper. Sofia joined NILMDTS in 2019 and has provided the gift of remembrance to 29 families since she began volunteering.

Although Sofia isn’t in my area, I am the closest AC to her and connected after she participated in one of my live “Session Prep” classes. During the covid pandemic, while hospitals were not allowing visitors,  Sofia gave birth to a precious little girl. The nurses already knew her and her active role with NILMDTS.  So, while she was a L&D patient, she helped the nurses arrange NILMDTS retouching services for several families who would not be leaving the hospital with their baby. The Dothan, Alabama area is so very fortunate to have Sofia and her heart serving in their area.
